Assessment and treatment of Sensation deficits, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Sunday, 23. February 2020

This is a one day introductory course to the SENSE approach for the assessment and treatment of sensation impairment. The course will include:
 

What is a sensory problem in the neurological population?
Why is it important?
Sensory Motor Cortex functions and contributions to rehabilitation
Sensory plasticity
Evidence Based approaches to sensory retraining
Winn Parry Peripheral nerve rehab, SENSE, Constraint induced therapy, EMLA sensory reduction. 
Assessment of sensory impairment
Patient demonstration and development of a sensory rehab plans 
practice using Sense training for impaired sensation in volunteer patients.
