Ellis Brook Reserve Sixty Foot Falls Hike | Distance 5km | Difficulty: Green - Beginner friendly with a climb | Time: Allow 2 hours
This dog friendly trail is a great introduction to hiking with a climb, as well as a beautiful day out with family and friends. Enjoy some amazing views of the quarry and the falls, in one place! We will be enjoying the Blue Wren Trail, and the Sixty Foot falls Circuit, to give us a beautiful 5km trail through Ellis Brook Reserve. 
Your ticket includes a start to finish guided hike with our trained hike leaders, and a hot cuppa tea at the end. Hike leaders carry communication devices and first aid kits for your safety. Feel comfortable knowing that we will guide you through your hiking experience and you can relax and enjoy. Your ticket also covers licences and registration fees to hold group hike events in National and regional Parks in WA. Please note a 10% ticket fee charged by Eventbrite to all ticket sales.
Located south east of Perth in the foothills of the Darling Range, head along Tonkin Hwy and take the Gosnells Rd East turnoff. Follow the signs ( or googlemaps) to Rushton Road. you take the Gosnells Rd East turnoff from Tonkin Hwy and follow the signs to Rushton Rd.  We will be meeting at the first carpark as your enter the park, which is on the RIGHT hand side of the road. The Blue Wren Trail starts here. 

Bush Walk: Beginner friendly with a fun yet challenging descent from the falls, and mostly level ground. A great opportunity to experience a short distance hike on a gravel track with some climbs, and amazing views!

Bring plenty of water ( at least 2 litres per person)

Comfortable clothes and sturdy trainers or hiking boots. With the uneven gravel trail at times, good grip soles are advised.

If you have hiking sticks, please bring them ( although not essential!) 

in the interest of saving our environment from more disruption, we encourage you to bring your own mug for the tea. Don't worry if you forget, we still have compostible paper cups! 

No entry fees to the carpark.
No toilets at this hike location. 
Dogs are welcome but must stay on the lead at all times.  
No experience required. A great introduction to hiking with a small challenge. 
Green hikes are suitable for beginners and can be completed with a basic level of fitness. There are minimal vertical climbs, and between 1-5km in length.
Orange hikes are suitable for the moderately experienced or hikers with a reasonable fitness level. These are typically between 6-15 km with a decent vertical climb. Most hikes will be orange.
Red hikes are for experienced hikers or people with a good level of fitness. They are typically longer than 10 km and involve challenging elevation and terrain.  They may also be shorted hikes with a continued steep vertical climb. such as Bluff Knoll.

No-shows and cancellations received within 48 hours of hike departure will incur a 100% cancellation fee. 
Cancellations received 2-7 days prior to the hike departure will incur a 50% cancellation fee. Cancellations received over 7 days in advance will receive a full refund or credit towards another event. Cancellations will not receive a refund of the eventbrite booking fee.  Guests can transfer their booking to a friend at no extra cost, but this must be sent in writing to The Hike Collective so we can forward all booking information to the new attendee. 
All bookings are made via Eventbrite. If The Hike Collective cancels an event due to inclement weather your ticket will automatically be moved to the new date, or you will be eligible to transfer amounts paid to another event or receive a full refund.
