GOLD COAST - Understanding Down Syndrome for Educators, Broadbeach Library, Thursday, 31. October 2019

This free workshop will focus on educators and will give an overview of characteristics that students with Down Syndrome can have and the impact these can have in the educational environment.  We will also look at how schools can move towards having greater inclusion by looking at communication issues and the use of visual supports to assist.  We welcome questions and will stick around after the event should you want to speak privately to us.  This is a great opportunity for you to gain a basic understanding of Down Syndrome and how we can all work together to create a more inclusive educational setting for our students.
The session will begin at 3:30pm and will conclude around 5:00pm.  There will be light refreshments provided.
