Mummy Run Australia 2019, Jack Cook Memorial Park, Saturday, 16. November 2019

Join the movement to raise funds for the White Cloud Foundation. The 2019 Mummy Run isn’t a race – it’s a chance to work together and show your support for those living with perinatal depression.
The condition affects 100,000 families across Australia every year. Help us help them.

What is the Mummy Run?
The event is designed to run like a relay:
-        Each relay team should be comprised of 4-5 runners
-        The first runner completes five laps (2kms) before they hand the baton to the next runner
-        The second runner then completes five laps (2kms) and so on until 80km is completed.
-        Mummy Run teams can be comprised of up to 10 people.
Remember - the more people, the less running per person!

There are already Mummy Runs organised at the following locations:
-        Jack Cook Park, Toowoong (Brisbane, Queensland)

Where do the funds go?
All funds raised at this event will go towards the White Cloud Foundation's Meals for Mums Program.
Since 2016 the White Cloud Foundation has provided practical support to women with, or at risk of, perinatal depression from around South-East Queensland. In September last year, the Foundation expanded its reach to include mums in Southern Tasmania.
The program provides 20 nutritious home-delivered meals, the phone support of our program coordinator, opportunities for social connection and links to additional community services.
Every $1000 raised allows us to give practical, critical support to 7 mums in need of a little help. A simple meal can make a world of difference.

Want to start your own Mummy Run?
To start up your own Mummy Run within your own local community, all you need is a 400m running track (athletics field) and at least four runners to participate in the relay.
