National Science Week - ANSTO Scientists, Kogarah Library and Service Centre, Saturday, 10. August 2019

Meet three female scientists from ANSTO (Australia’s Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation), each sharing their passion about their research. Dr Katie Sizeland will explore the nanostructure and biomechanics of collagen and how her results can lead to real life benefits. Dr Stacey Priestley is an Environmental Scientist who is passionate about addressing Australia’s environmental problems in water resources sustainability. Her discussion will be about groundwater. What is it? Where is it? And how do we study it? Dr Joanne Lackenby has over a decades experience working at OPAL, Australia’s only nuclear reactor. She is passionate about communicating the amazing world of nuclear science and technology and will talk about how nuclear reactors work.
